Nominations For This Year’s Adult / Art Leadership Award Below, please find the form that should be utilized to nominate a deserving individual for this year’s ASA Art Leadership Award. While the Art Supervisors Association also presents Art Leadership plaques to students in every district during the spring, this nomination form is different and pertains to an adult who has demonstrated a strong passion, leadership, appreciation, commitment and impressive support for arts education. Considering this, past winners have included; Patricia Lannes - Director of Education at Adelphi University, Roger Tilles - N.Y. State Regent, Dale Lewis – Director of Usdan and Dr. Santo Barbarino – Superintendent of the Lynbrook Schools. Then, once the Leadership Committee has made their selection of an award winner, the individual who nominated them will be contacted, followed by a congratulatory/invitation letter that will be sent from ASA to the recipient. Lastly, this special recognition will be presented at the student Scholarship Ceremony at Adelphi University on March 18, 2012, immediately preceding the All-County Art Exhibit.
